- About the Course File
  
  This course introduces the learners to the concept of intellectual property and its various types; emphasizes the contribution of IP to a country’s economic growth; and explains the systems in place in order to create, protect and commercialize IP rights in the Philippines. This course also encourages learners to recognize the various types of IP in their everyday life.
  
  Course Objectives:
  
  At the end of this course, learners should be able to:
  
  1.       Discuss intellectual property, its various types and examples as seen in people’s day-to-day living
  2.       Discuss the IP cycle
  3.       Explain the importance of IP and IP rights protection in driving a country’s economic growth and competitiveness
  4.       Explain the IP system in the Philippines
