The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) Learning Activities Workspace (ILAW) is the official e-learning platform of the IPOPHL to support its mission to build an inclusive intellectual property system serving the needs of Filipinos.
Through information technology, IP Learning through ILAW is where stakeholders can be educated and trained on intellectual property, gearing towards the IPOPHL’s vision of a progressive Philippines using intellectual property assets for inclusive economic and social development by 2030.

In celebration of Buwan ng mga Wika in the Philippines, the IP Forward>> IP Lengguwahe Series is a two-part event that celebrates Filipino languages by exploring fundamental IP concepts in Tagalog and Cebuano. This second installment aims to educate Filipino professionals, workers, and students on basic IP concepts using the Cebuano language.
This is an online training program that will be held on August 22, 2024, from 1:00 PM- 4:30 PM

Now on its 5th run, the Beyond IP (BeIP) Mastercourse: IP x Sustainable Development Goals Edition is a comprehensive 5-day face-to-face training program covering a wide range of IP topics such as patents, trademarks, copyrights, and how these can be harnessed to support the Sustainable Development Goals. It will also delve into the legal and ethical issues arising from the introduction and use of green and emerging technologies.
The program will be taught by seasoned lawyers in the practice and subject matter experts who have a deep understanding of the legal and technical aspects of intellectual property and sustainable development and their intersections. The curriculum will include lectures, interactive discussions, case studies, and hands-on exercises to help attendees gain a practical and in-depth understanding of the material.
The program is part of IPOPHL’s strategy toward enhancing IP education and awareness, not just among IP specialists and law practitioners but among general IP stakeholders.
This program is aimed at lawyers, legal professionals, and IP practitioners who are looking to expand their knowledge of intellectual property and sustainable development, as well as those who are just beginning to practice in this area.
The BeIP Mastercourse: IP x Sustainable Development Goals Edition will be on April 15-19, 2024 in Cagayan de Oro City
This training session is designed specifically for women innovators and entrepreneurs. It will provide insights into the patent system, the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), and how these can be leveraged to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Participants will gain valuable knowledge to navigate the intellectual property landscape and contribute to sustainable innovation.
