This specialized edition of the IP Forward program is designed to provide participants (e.g. IP rightsholder, MSMEs, early career legal practitioners, general public) with a comprehensive understanding of intellectual property (IP) enforcement in the Philippines. It brings together experts from IPOPHL, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and the Department of Justice (DOJ) to deliver practical and legal insights on protecting IP rights.

The program begins with an overview of the Philippine IP system and the role of IPOPHL in safeguarding creativity and innovation. Participants will then explore the nuances of infringement across patents, trademarks, and copyrights, learning how to identify violations and understand their implications. The sessions will further equip attendees with knowledge of administrative remedies available through IPOPHL, highlighting efficient and cost-effective strategies for rights holders.

Building on this foundation, the program will address the criminal dimension of enforcement, covering the processes of filing complaints, conducting investigations, and prosecuting offenders through the NBI and DOJ. Case studies and real-world examples will guide participants in navigating the complexities of the enforcement landscape, while interactive discussions will encourage practical application of enforcement mechanisms.

Designed for rights holders, legal practitioners, business leaders, and enforcement partners, this program empowers participants with the tools and strategies needed to protect intellectual property rights effectively and contribute to a stronger IP system and culture of innovation in the Philippines.
