iLEAP IP is composed of self-paced online courses on introductory courses on intellectual property. 

It is composed of four (4) modules including the following:

·      Introduction to Intellectual Property

·      Introduction to Copyright

·      Introduction to Trademark

·      Introduction to Patent

Takers of these courses will receive a certificate upon completion of the four modules. The enrolment key for each module can be accessed after completing the preceding module.

This course gives a detailed discussion about copyright and related rights, including the works and rights covered by copyright, manner of acquisition, transfer, and protection of copyright, enforcement of rights, and international agreements governing copyright. This will also give an overview of IPOPHL’s Bureau of Copyright and Related Rights.

Introduction to Patents

This course introduces the type of IP rights: Patents and other related IPs such as utility model, industrial design and layout circuits. It highlights the importance of striking the balance between individual/private gains and the public good towards continuous innovation. It also highlights the role of IPOPHL in the patent system and encouraging innovation in the country.
